Message from the President
The American Society of Home Inspectors, Southern New England Chapter, welcomes you to our website. Our website can be used as a starting point for not only home buyers and sellers, but any other professionals who have questions about a home. And don’t forget, you may just want an inspection done to have some piece of mind about the current condition of your home. So do not limit yourself to looking us up only when buying or selling, if you think something is wrong, or don’t trust the salesman selling you a home product, call us. The calls are always free.
All Connecticut home Inspectors need to be licensed. This means completing at least 100 inspections and passing two State administered tests.
But all licensed inspectors are not equal.
Our Chapter membership is comprised of home inspectors and industry professionals who have established themselves among the best in their profession. Consider this, every ASHI Certified Inspector or “ACI”, is third party certified, has passed two MORE rigorous exams in addition to the 2 CT exams, performed at least 250 fee paid inspections and follows the ASHI Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
